SilverSummit Healthplan Awards JFSA $25,000 to Provide Vital Housing Assistance in Rural Nevada

The Jewish Family Service Agency (JFSA) is proud to announce a generous $25,000 grant from SilverSummit Healthplan, dedicated to providing critical housing assistance for residents of rural Nevada counties. This investment will allow JFSA’s Nevada Care Connection Program (NVCC) to continue supporting vulnerable residents in Lincoln and Esmerelda Counties, where access to essential resources is often limited.

For the past three years, NVCC team has worked with individuals in these communities to ensure they can access the resources needed to remain stable, healthy, and independent. Among the many needs they identified, emergency housing assistance—whether for preventing evictions or foreclosures—emerged as the most urgent. Thanks to the backing from SilverSummit Healthplan, JFSA can now provide more immediate support for individuals and families facing housing crises.

“We deeply value the role that SilverSummit Healthplan plays in our partnership to serve the rural community,” JFSA shared. “Their contribution of scarce resources to these underserved counties significantly amplifies the impact JFSA can make.”

SilverSummit Healthplan, a Nevada-based managed care organization and a subsidiary of Centene Corporation (NYSE: CNC), is committed to improving the health and well-being of Nevada residents. With a focus on compassionate and coordinated care, SilverSummit’s support helps JFSA reach those most in need, enhancing the resilience and stability of rural Nevada communities.
